HTTPS Everywhere – Firefox and Chrome

What does it do?

  • “HTTPS Everywhere” will activate the secure version of HTTP, if possible.
  • If the website offers security, this script will activate it.
  • It cannot create HTTPS if the site does not offer it.
  • CAUTION: The website URL is exposed, it will not conceal the host name.

Why should I bother?

HTTPS Everywhere will prevent several attacks, such as SSL stripping.

It is not available via Firefox Add On’s – as Firefox’s privacy policy is not as strong as the developers policy.

Where can I find it?

Start placing roadblocks immediately, by activating security without interaction.
