Germany: Federal Office for Information Security

I spend half my life reading German authors and German books translated into English.  My guess is that Germany has set the bar for Information Security, Data Protection, Encryption and all things security related.

In honour of how much I admire Germany’s head start in Encryption, here’s the links for the German Federal Office of Information Security.

Check out their publications tab…

germany1When it comes to Cryptography, and Information Security, you can’t beat Germany.. 🙂

OpenVPN – German bias

Following on the German theme, most books written on OpenVPN are either in German, or written by German authors.  In fact, there are twice as many OpenVPN books in German, as there are in English.

Privacy – German bias

Some of the greatest privacy works are written by Wolfgang Softsky, in German of course,  then translated by Princeton University.

So, to recap, I spend half my life wishing that I could understand German, or finding English translations.

Well done Germany!
